Steps to Departure

01Log in, or create an account from "新規登録はこちら" (Sign up here)

02Tap the pin of the Hub you want to use on the map, then tap "このHubで予約する" (Book at this Hub)

03Choose the date, start time, rental plan (1 / 2 / 4 hours) and the Peace of Mind Pack, then tap "確認画面へ" (Review)

04Enter your payment details, answer the survey, check the confirmations, then tap "予約を確定する" (Confirm booking)

05Booking complete! You can check your booking from "予約一覧へ" (My bookings)

06At your booking time, head straight to the tuk-tuk at the designated parking spot. Don't forget your driving license

07In the app, take the traffic safety quiz and watch the approx. 4-minute safe driving video. Once done, the unlock button becomes active

08Tap "利用開始する・鍵を開ける" (Start & unlock) to power on the vehicle. There is no key handover — you are ready to go

It looks colorful and cute, but of course, you need a driving license! Emobi vehicles are classified as mini motor vehicles and are operated with a twist throttle rather than a pedal. One of the licenses below is required. Please be sure to bring these documents on the day of your visit.

What to bring:

Please bring your passport and either 2A or 2B.

1: Passport: You must be within one year of your date of entry into Japan.
2A: International Driving Permit and your home country license: The International Driving Permit must be issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention.; Example of a Japanese driving license
2B: Foreign driving license and an official Japanese translation: The translation can be obtained from the embassy or consulate of the country that issued your license, or from JAF in Japan. For a Taiwanese license, the translation must be issued by the Taiwan-Japan Relations Association.

Travelers from Taiwan: please bring your Japanese translation, Taiwanese driving license, a photo of your license, and your passport.

Travelers from Hong Kong: please bring your International Driving Permit and your passport.

Directions to the parking lot

After exiting Kamakura Station's West Exit, turn left and walk toward Onari-dori street.

Once you enter Onari-dori, keep walking straight.

When you see the Meiji Chisho real estate office on your left, turn right.

Continue down the narrow street all the way to the end.

You have arrived at the parking lot. Look for the row of tuk-tuks.

What kind of license do I need to drive?

You can drive with a standard car driving license. A moped-only license is not accepted.

Is Emobi difficult to drive?

There is no foot pedal — it handles much like a bicycle. However, you will be driving on public roads, so please drive with great care.
If it is your first time, please drive cautiously.
We ask all customers to watch a driving instruction video before departure.

Can I book on the same day?

Even if the calendar shows "×", you may still be able to rent if you call us. Please feel free to contact us: (03-6899-2850)

What is the top speed and range?

The top speed is 50 km/h and the range is 40 km.
Rentals of 4 to 6 hours are generally no problem.

What happens if there is an accident or breakdown?

A non-operation charge (NOC) and repair costs will apply. Depending on the location, we offer a "Peace of Mind" plan that covers part of this. Certain conditions apply.

How does pricing work?

Prices are per vehicle, so splitting the cost with friends or your partner is a great deal. Please check the booking app for details, or give us a call.

Are there age limits or rules for children?

Children under 100 cm tall cannot ride.
Children aged 12 and under cannot ride alone in the back seat. Customers aged 70 and over may ride in the back seat but cannot drive.
